I yelled at you; Yes!,i did swear, In my futile attempt to evade the stare; It was the demon-the long held captive, Raised on thoughts, active and reactive. He did gnaw at me from deep within, Resilience erased, the wall was erect; In what i thought could save my skin, I,held your love suspect. I succumbed to the fear-closed my eyes, Letting my mind veer out of place; Badly, wanting to see you cry, I forgot, life was,the smile on your face. Now,i guess i know who deserves the blame- The one at fault from the start; It was never you-but me That'd stopped listening to his heart. I know it's all broken beyond repair, If there is a moment of kindness, yet to spare, I'd just love to apologize, And try to put to practice, whatever's been realized.
