A Reverie...

I was choosing my words,
And thumbing a screen,
Till, not long afterwards,
I found that I hadn't been.

We were back at the tea estate,
And then walking by the lake,
Before I began to anticipate,
Together time at our next break.

I had, I did faintly remember,
Continued a long dormant debate;
If our views did never differ,
Wouldn't one, the other, obviate?

I began to wonder, amused,
If she was merely busy at work;
But, could one be disabused,
Of what's an all too human quirk?

What might she be thinking about?
Where might we now be?
Could she be trying to find out,
What may have amused me?
