The Fearless Guardian...

I've strength I can't explain,
I thank the Lord, in Him I trust,
I fight without a fear of pain,
As every hero has, as I too must.

Some are flimsy, some burly,
Coming from places near and far,
Almost all of them are surly,
Till I subdue them when we spar.

It is physical and it is violent,
Yet we don't punch, bite, or kick,
We stare till one does relent,
And mostly my victory is quick.

Some do indulge in theatrics,
What comes of sound and light?
I focus despite all the tricks,
Defending day and starry night.

I have my set of battle scars,
I've had bruises, I've been hailed,
But I have won all the wars,
Some split, some meekly sailed.

I shall not be blown away,
And water ever bounces off me,
Black, white, silver, or grey,
Every cloud must perish or flee.
