The Peace Of Silence...

I did turn to reason,
Argued against, and argued for;
While, at times, fun,
There was one too many an encore.

I recalled what I'd heard,
Then tried to ape the sound;
It seemed wholly absurd,
Yet, slowly, I felt unbound.

As in the chirps of a bird,
And the jingle of chimes,
There wasn't a single word,
Only the pleasing rhymes.

Maybe, the peace of silence,
Doesn't require nothing heard;
Perhaps, in its quintessence,
It's only freedom from the word.
