Delight...

"You should be punished,
For it's been bad,
                       your behaviour;
But in what you wished,
Was your sole good deed

                             of this year.

"I wasn't to come along,
Were it not for this one gift;
Yes, your list was long;
No, this isn't about my thrift."

He looked, he did resist,
The box seemed too small,
To hold anything from his list.

He did take the present,
And found the last little item
Once the gift wrap was rent.

'But, this was for my friend,
I'd thrown his eraser away...'

"Yes, in wanting to amend,
You've truly lived the day."

Confused, the boy stood,
Shouldn't he get something,
For having once been good?

"And," the old man began,
"Take a look under the tree..."

At the once, the boy ran,
Whatever it was, he'd to see.

A few boxes he'd to scan,
'Yes, this is the one for me!'

"I went to get you Iron Man,
I also got a buddy of his for free!"
