Swaddled In Serenity...

I keep swimming around,
Knowing well it is a lake,
No new shore to be found,
No loathed coast to forsake.

Fatigued, I see the futility,
Float, looking at the skies,
Question my life's utility,
Seemingly free of the lies.

The water quiet, unstirred,
I hear chirps in many tones,
Is it a genius mimetic bird?
But, then, the many drones?

The clouds fly, and fast,
An encashed rain cheque?
Are they scurrying past,
On that bright blue deck?

Stillness behind thought,
I recall those wise words,
Not a thing to be fought,
If you are to slip inwards.

I smile, seek to remain,
Swaddled in that serenity,
Then, that drop of rain,
Deluged my inner infinity.
