It is the details that delude,
And them, distance does deprive;
Yet, in what's been accrued,
The surreal does at times survive.
Boy, I do have a surprise,
One that should set you free,
Though it sounds unwise,
To think I should let you be.
I've looked for your face,
The one on you I did festoon,
But, that was so out of place,
Looking for the moon at noon.
Sooner would've been better,
But sometime's better than never;
Allow me to undo your fetter,
So that we will not have to sever.
Yet, of Jesus you'd have heard,
And of Christmas being convenient;
This might seem wholly absurd,
But, kindly permit me to be as deviant.
Happy Birthday, Gudiya! :)
