It was indeed too bold,
That I smiled,
But I hadn't been told,
I was a child,
Who had been saved,
Only to be enslaved.
Now that I know,
Some feel I owe,
To them, my being alive,
Where do I go?
Even the abyss ain't below,
And my mind's on a nosedive;
I erred, I fell in love,
Inviting a further shove,
Into depths, dark and scary;
I've been left to grimace,
Absent the slightest trace,
Of my tale having a fairy.
Have had enough of the strife,
C'mon launch that rescue,
And lend me Your hand;
You own my life,
I trust that You do,
Take me to the promised land.
That I smiled,
But I hadn't been told,
I was a child,
Who had been saved,
Only to be enslaved.
Now that I know,
Some feel I owe,
To them, my being alive,
Where do I go?
Even the abyss ain't below,
And my mind's on a nosedive;
I erred, I fell in love,
Inviting a further shove,
Into depths, dark and scary;
I've been left to grimace,
Absent the slightest trace,
Of my tale having a fairy.
Have had enough of the strife,
C'mon launch that rescue,
And lend me Your hand;
You own my life,
I trust that You do,
Take me to the promised land.
