Pharoah Of The East...

He hatches the buds,
Gives them sups of nectar;
Calls out the birds,
Acts as their conductor.

The nemesis of darkness,
Over the hills and meadows,
He chases it with a harness,
Wanting to trap it in shadows.
It turns a swimmer,
Till waters shimmer;
Then, sweeps the fields,
Slithers through the yields,
Only to sneak behind plinths,
Hare through labyrinths,
And try to dive into the abyss,
Before victory is finally all his.
With the night in pawn,
He spawns the dawn,
To wake up God, man and beast,
The Pharaoh of the East.
