Flip Of A Coin...

Bob flipped the coin up in the air,
Wondering if it would be joy,
Or if it would be despair.

He turned, thrusting a glance,
Which was met midway by Rob's,
Each a knight without a lance.

Knowing fully well he could fail,
With the coin still in ascent,
Rob, then, called a 'Tail'.

The coin spun and rose,
Towards the midday Sun,
Only to turn back when close.

The coin readied to meet the ground,
Drawing gulps on its way down,
And it all ended with a metallic sound.

'It's a tail,' cried Rob in glee,
And picked up the coin,
While Bob could not bear to see.

Both the smile and frown slipped,
The boys steadied themselves,
For, again, the coin was to be flipped...
