Wishful Thinking...

Initiated into a daylight exercise,
All he had to do was visualize,
And his wishes would manifest
– A sure ticket to the crest.

He yenned for a steed,
Of the most divine breed,
Faster than a clock's chime,
Stealing a march on time.

Then, he'd  think and respond,
Never chafing all those fond;
React, and it can't be undone,
Breathe easy, and it is all fun.

Maybe, the steed could fly back,
Let him retrace his track,
God had never been a haggler,
So why should he stay a straggler?

Dusk woke and the Sun yawned,
Day for night was to be pawned,
God, though, failed to appear,
Was the Unicorn too hard to steer?
