Every channel seemed so narrow,
Could I still blow a kiss, come 'morrow?
The thought was too hard to swallow,
The haunt of what once was a hallow.
Even in this day and age,
I was trapped inside a crystal cage;
The elements couldn't hear me,
I couldn't teleport to where I needed to be.
As I saw the world through the walls- angled
- The sun, sky and stars appearing all mangled,
What once had inspired an awe,
Was now the icon of the greatest flaw,
Every attempt to rationalize the scene,
Hypnotizing me away from where you'd been;
The certainty of the curse uttered,
Left me fleeing and deterred;
Even as I mourned my being inept,
To your voice, my heart had leapt.
There was time for one last scream,
The condemnation of all the psalms;
The nightmare now, was a dream,
And I was safe in your arms.
Could I still blow a kiss, come 'morrow?
The thought was too hard to swallow,
The haunt of what once was a hallow.
Even in this day and age,
I was trapped inside a crystal cage;
The elements couldn't hear me,
I couldn't teleport to where I needed to be.
As I saw the world through the walls- angled
- The sun, sky and stars appearing all mangled,
What once had inspired an awe,
Was now the icon of the greatest flaw,
Every attempt to rationalize the scene,
Hypnotizing me away from where you'd been;
The certainty of the curse uttered,
Left me fleeing and deterred;
Even as I mourned my being inept,

There was time for one last scream,
The condemnation of all the psalms;
The nightmare now, was a dream,
And I was safe in your arms.
