Not Every Cloud Does Rain...

Hustling through the busy street,
Stalked by the scorcher from the east;
The tarmac burning underneath my feet,
I was thirsty for a few drops,at the least.

As the sweating and swearing did continue,
The breeze seemed laden with a new perfume;
Enter as she did into the field of view,
The carnival is here,I did presume.

The dark cloud,Oh!,so heavenly,
Anticipation did trigger a rapture;
But when she did pass over,suddenly,
Only sighs greeted her departure.

The sun was back,and in full glare,
But his menace no longer so chief;
The cloud,in the jiffy she did spare-
In the temporal relief-reinforced belief.

Yes!,not every cloud does rain,
Yet pauses the onslaught replete;
Each's a ticket to board the hope train,
For the journey begun shall be complete.
