Ruing losing all he had got,
He set out to leave the casino;
Blaming greed for his current spot,
He vowed to make virtue his amigo.
As he turned,he heard a voice,
It was Efil-she ran the place;
She offered one last throw of the dice,
On the house,to wipe off his grimace.
It wouldn't hurt,there was nothing to lose,
He thought-he would do it one last time;
Not pinning much hope,or,seeing much use,
He tossed,for the paltry bet,Efil's dime.
And voila,like in a good old fable,
The die had thrown up his number-one;
He could,now,'ve one more turn at the table,
Using what he had just won.
He bet again with a bit more urge,
And there,again,was the heady rush;
The 'high' he derived from the splurge,
Served to see the sanity hushed.
He bet and bet,winning more and more,
But a sudden knell scrambled his mind;
It was his thoughts and Efil,from moments before,
She's all he did need-convinced this rewind.
At once,he ran to the casino queen,
He thanked her,before going down on one knee;
If he was to lose his bundle of greens,
He wanted to know if he could still play for free!
