I did sit on the isolated rock,
With nothing to praise,none to mock;
My eyes,suddenly,seemed to gain light,
As She stepped,from the mind into sight.
My world was,now,by my side,
Nothing to seek,with nothing denied;
The thoughts did,still,ripple on the calm,
Her company,though,meant-no panic,no alarm.
For once,there was no topic for talk,
Nothing to answer,and nothing to ask;
In silence,the hearts had spoken,
No words,to be,looked-up,or,mistaken.
With nothing to praise,none to mock;
My eyes,suddenly,seemed to gain light,
As She stepped,from the mind into sight.
My world was,now,by my side,
Nothing to seek,with nothing denied;
The thoughts did,still,ripple on the calm,
Her company,though,meant-no panic,no alarm.
For once,there was no topic for talk,
Nothing to answer,and nothing to ask;
In silence,the hearts had spoken,
No words,to be,looked-up,or,mistaken.
