The CBI Saga...

Everytime there's a crime and the fingers are pointed at the affluent effluents of the Indian society,we-the people of India, invariably end up demanding an enquiry by this body-The Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI-for we do believe(blindly??) in its efficiency, impartial nature,so on and so forth. The bureau though, always has something up its sleeve, almost like a conjurer,to amaze us-be it dropping charges against some big wigs of the saffron brigade in the Babri Masjid demolition case or by its shocking claims and admissions, such as its recent inability to trace the prosecution witness in the Sikh riots case, which ensured that a Gandhian,(read Sonia's soldier!),Jagadish Tytler emerged scot-free in the absence of the eye-witness testimony. However,a private news channel, apparently employing sleuths better than those of the CBI,located the witness and even brought him to the fore-front.The CBI's face saving act was to seek the channel's aid to get hold of the witness so that they could produce him before the honorable court.what a sham!!If such is the efficiency of the CBI that it cannot keep track of a witness due to depose,it would be comical to hope that the CBI would nab the offenders and bring them to the book.No wonder, vigilante justice seems to be the order of the day!
